Hi, I’m Sam, the person behind the camera.

Based in Tokyo, Japan. I’ve been photographing love, joy and connections since 2016 following a career in the humanitarian world. I still can’t believe that this is my job and I feel so privileged to do this as a career. I started my photography in the UK but decided to move to Japan in January 2020 in search of Mountains, Hot Springs and Matcha!

Moving to photography as a full time career has been truly fulfilling for so many aspects of my life - I can’t really imagine doing anything else now! I love that I get to work outside in nature, meet new people, hear their stories and document some very special moments in time for them. Even after all these years taking photos I still get excited to see the end results and share the final galleries!

Nature is my happy place and where I feel most comfortable. I draw a lot of inspiration from my surroundings and will never tire of the changing seasons, the cherry blossoms, lush green summers, Autumn leaves and the rich blue skies of Winter.
