Emma & Stu’s beautiful countryside Wedding and outdoor humanist ceremony in Canterbury, Kent
When Stu & Emma got in touch with me about their outdoor humanist Wedding Ceremony plans I was only too happy to help! I love taking photographs outdoors surrounded by the beautiful British Countryside and I’m a big fan of these very rustic, festival inspired Weddings!
Stu & Emma decided to go for a DIY Wedding and set the whole thing up themselves in a family member’s back garden. The final set up looked absolutely fantastic under the lovely blue sky we had that day and the teepee framed the ceremony beautifully. I think it’s a great idea to get married in a space that you know such as a family home not to mention the cost savings on a venue!
I am primarily a documentary Wedding photographer throughout the day capturing the moments as they happen naturally - laughter, joy, tears…all of it! I really want to document your day as it happens which is exactly what I did here for Stu & Emma’s Wedding. I also allow time for some family portraits and some very natural portraiture of the bride and groom. I love to make best use of the light that we have on the day so always encourage couples to reserve some time about an hour before sunset so we can get some more golden light which allow for some very timeless wedding portraits. We were lucky on this particular day and got some beautiful soft golden light for the portrait session.
