An Intimate Elopement Ceremony in Nara, Japan
A beautiful elopement photoshoot during the Autumn leaves in Nara Park and Mount Wakakusuyama, Japan.
Autumn is always my favourite time of year here in Japan so I was absolutely delighted to document M&Q’s special day in some hidden and stunning locations in Nara. We timed things just perfectly and the Autumn colours were in their full glory with blazing red and golden colours. Q’s beautiful floral dress matched the scene perfectly and these two were absolutely wonderful together!
The day started with getting ready at their hotel before getting a taxi to a little known garden booked by the team at elope in Japan. A small and intimate ceremony was held at a lovely little traditional Japanese tea house under some golden Momiji (Japanese Maple) trees - stunning! Following this I took M&Q for a portrait session through the garden, making the most of the colours and then heading to the summit of Wakakusayama for sunset. The day couldn’t have gone more perfectly and we were treated to some stunning views of Nara city on the way back down.
I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking! If you’re interested in an elopement or portrait session in Nara, please just send a message and I’ll be happy to organise something for you. Be sure to check out the team at Elope in Japan too!
