A Surprise Proposal

Sometimes you receive a job enquiry and literally can't wait to photograph the session. This was one of them. All the way from USA, Mike got in touch asking to do a surprise proposal photoshoot...on the White Cliffs of Dover in Kent! Epic! There was also some history attached to the shoot as well. Tara's grandparents had met in Ramsgate during WW2 and so she had grown up with stories of Ramsgate, Dover and the White cliffs - hence Mike's decision to pop the question on the White Cliffs! 

As with previous shoots like this I have done, it was arranged as a standard couples photoshoot session with a secret code word between me and Mike when I thought we were in a nice spot for THE photo. We warmed with a few standard portraits before the moment came...in complete surprise! It's simply a joy to photograph beautiful moments like these. It motivates me just knowing that these photos will live on in Mike and Tara's home for years to come.
