A Tokyo Engagement Portrait session set in a beautiful traditional Japanese Garden surrounded by nature

When this lovely couple (J&J) got in touch with me requesting an engagement portrait photoshoot set in nature whilst also including some traditional Japanese elements I jumped at the chance! There are some lovely parks and gardens here in Tokyo which provide a lovely little break from the city life and are also great for engagement sessions. I especially love some of the traditional gardens where I can include a few Japanese elements to really give a sense of Japan to a photoshoot.

Whilst every couple is different, I always aim to capture a variety of images focusing on keeping things as natural and candid as possible. I also give some guidance for posing to help you look your best but what I’m really looking for are those natural moments in between be it a laugh, smile, kiss…or tears! I like to keep the atmosphere as relaxed as possible so we can simply take the session as a walk through a park taking photos along the way stopping whenever I see something that stands out.

I love taking photos in nature but I am equally happy walking through this great city of ours whether it be Asakusa’s charming backstreets or the big city lights of Ginza and Shinjuku.

If you’re interested in an Engagement photoshoot with me here in Tokyo you can find more details on my packages by clicking here. I’ll leave the photos to do the rest of the talking!
