I absolutely love taking family portraits since I know these are images that will live on in peoples homes for many years to come. I believe these are some of the most important photos I take as a portrait photographer and always do my upmost to get the best pictures we can together.
My ideal shoot is to take a walk through nature together, perhaps a local forest or park, stopping whenever there is a nice composition but also be on the look out for those perfect moments in between. For those local to Tokyo, it can also be a great idea to do a shoot at your home or close by to create some family photos with real context and meaning. For those visiting Tokyo, there are so many wonderful locations to give a real sense of Japan in your family portraits such as Asakusa, Hamarikyu Gardens, Shinjuku Gyoen and other beautiful Japanese gardens.
